CBSE Class 12 Result 2026: Vasant Valley toppers redefine Gen Z success mantra beyond marks
Vasant Valley School's Class 12 toppers paired standout board scores with leadership, sport and school participation. Their results also highlighted the school's holistic approach and the first RTE batch's strong performance.

In a time when board exam results often become a race for marks, the students of Delhi’s Vasant Valley School are showing that success can mean much more than just a percentage score.
The school’s Class 12 toppers this year have emerged not only as academic achievers but also as young leaders, athletes and active participants in school life.
Their stories reflect a changing mindset among Gen Z students, one where balancing academics with personality development, leadership and social awareness matters just as much.
Leading the charts this year is Ritika Panwar, who secured a remarkable 99.5 percent in the CBSE Class 12 examinations. But her journey was not limited to books and classrooms alone. Ritika also served as the school’s Head Girl and remained deeply involved in extracurricular activities throughout her school years.
Another top performer, Maahira Vohra, scored an outstanding 99 percent while actively participating in various school events and activities. Adding to the school’s proud achievement, even the Sports Captain featured among this year’s board toppers.
BOOKS, BALANCE AND BIG DREAMS
The students believe their generation is learning to multitask better than ever before. Despite constant digital distractions and social media pressure, they focused on discipline, time management and maintaining a healthy balance between studies and personal growth.
Speaking to India Today about her future goals, Ritika shared that she wants to pursue higher studies not just for career success but also to contribute meaningfully to society.
Her words reflected a broader shift among young achievers today, where ambition is increasingly linked with social responsibility and purpose.
The school administration believes this balanced approach is one of the biggest reasons behind the students’ success.
MORE THAN MARKS ON A MARKSHEET
Principal Sharmila Bakshi highlighted the school’s long-standing focus on holistic and inclusive education. She pointed out that the institution has been enroling Economically Weaker Section (EWS) students under the Right to Education (RTE) programme for the last 14 years.
This year’s Class 12 results carried special significance because they included the first batch of students admitted under the 25 percent RTE quota in 2012.
Despite facing various personal and financial challenges, many of these students also performed commendably in the board examinations, reflecting the school’s commitment to equal opportunity and collective growth.
A NEW DEFINITION OF SUCCESS
Vasant Valley School recorded an impressive overall school average of 87 percent this year. Nearly 49 percent of students scored above 90 percent, while 43 percent of all grades awarded were A1s.
Yet beyond the numbers, the achievements of these students highlight something bigger; a new definition of success for Gen Z.
For today’s young achievers, excellence is no longer measured only by marksheets, but also by leadership, confidence, responsibility and the ability to grow as well-rounded individuals.
