Delhi announces free bus travel for NEET UG re-test candidates

The Delhi Government has announced free travel for candidates appearing in the NEET (UG) 2026 examination on June 21. The facility will be provided across all Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) buses for students travelling to exam centres.

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta shared the update on social media platform X, stating that candidates will be allowed free travel upon showing a valid admit card. The move is aimed at ensuring that students do not face any inconvenience on a day considered crucial for their academic future.

EASING EXAM DAY PRESSURE

The decision is expected to benefit thousands of NEET aspirants across the capital. Many students travel long distances to reach their examination centres, and transport costs or delays often add to their stress on exam day.

By offering free bus travel, the government aims to reduce logistical pressure and ensure smoother movement for candidates. Officials said the initiative is part of broader efforts to support students during competitive examinations.

Along with the announcement, the Chief Minister also extended her best wishes to all NEET aspirants. She said that students’ hard work and determination should lead them to success.

The NEET UG re-examination is scheduled to be held on June 21, and lakhs of students across the country are expected to appear for the medical entrance test.
