CBSE extends Class 12 answer book scan request deadline to May 25
CBSE has extended the last date to apply for scanned copies of evaluated Class 12 answer books to May 25, 2026. The board said the re-evaluation schedule will be announced separately, with the portal staying open for at least two days after the last scanned copy is released.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has extended the last date for applying to obtain scanned copies of evaluated answer books for Class 12 Board Examinations 2026. The revised deadline is now May 25, 2026 (midnight).
According to a circular issued by CBSE on May 24, the extension has been provided to give students additional time to submit requests for scanned copies of their answer sheets. The earlier deadline was May 24, 2026.
The board stated that candidates should make use of the extended timeline and complete applications within the revised schedule. All other conditions related to the facility remain unchanged.
CBSE also informed students that the schedule for accepting re-evaluation requests will be announced separately.
This is the third time an extension has been granted for applications to obtain scanned copies of answer sheets. Earlier, on May 22, CBSE announced extensions of the deadline to May 23 and then May 24. The deadline has now been further extended to May 25.
The board added that, to ensure students have enough time to access the service, the portal for re-evaluation will remain open for at least two days after the last scanned copy of an evaluated answer book is made available to applicants.
The notice was issued by Dr Sanyam Bhardwaj, Controller of Examinations, CBSE.
Students awaiting answer sheet review or considering re-evaluation have been advised to regularly check the official CBSE website for further updates.
