CUET UG 2026 exam on May 28 postponed due to Bakrid holiday change

The National Testing Agency has postponed the CUET UG 2026 exam scheduled for May 28 in both shifts. The move follows a change in the Id-ul-Zuha holiday date, with fresh exam dates to be announced later.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) announced the postponement of the Common University Entrance Test (CUET UG) 2026 scheduled for May 28, affecting candidates appearing in both shifts.

According to an official public notice issued on May 24, the decision was taken following a Government of India notification regarding a change in the date of the Id-ul-Zuha (Bakrid) holiday.

“In light of the DoPT notification regarding the change in the date of the holiday on account of Id-ul-Zuha (Bakrid), the CUET (UG) 2026 examinations scheduled to be held on 28.05.2026 in both shifts stand postponed,” the notice stated.

The NTA said that revised examination dates for affected candidates will be announced later.
