The cancellation controversy surrounding the NEET UG 2026 examination conducted on May 3 reached the streets of the national capital on Tuesday, as members of the National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) staged a protest outside Shastri Bhawan against the National Testing Agency (NTA) over alleged paper leak concerns.
Holding banners and raising slogans, student protestors accused the examination body of failing to ensure the integrity of one of India’s largest entrance examinations.
The demonstration comes amid claims that nearly 135 questions circulating in “guess papers” were also found in the main examination, triggering fresh debate over the credibility of the exam process.
NSUI workers demanded transparency and accountability from the NTA, arguing that repeated controversies around competitive examinations are eroding students’ trust in the system.
Security personnel were deployed outside Shastri Bhawan as demonstrators gathered and shouted slogans against alleged lapses in the conduct of the examination.
