Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has been asked by the Congress high command to step down and been offered a national role and a Rajya Sabha seat, according to sources.
In an exclusive interview with India Today, a Class 12 student and ethical hacker said that he hacked the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) evaluation portal in thirty minutes during the board examinations in February. He added informed CERT-In and also notified CBSE separately.
When asked what all the changes he could make after hacking the portal, he said, "I could change teacher's name, their phone number. I could see their emails. I also could, like, put bank details. There was an option for bank details. I think CBSE paid teachers separately to grade the papers, I think. That's why it was there. I could put marks on the sheets assigned to that teacher. That was the most scary part of all in the system."
He added that despite reporting multiple vulnerabilities to the Computer Emergency Response Team and the board, only one issue was initially resolved.
