Mahendragarh Assembly Election Results 2024

Mahendragarh is one of the 90 assembly constituencies in the Indian state of Haryana. It is part of the Mahendragarh district and falls under the National Capital Region, located approximately 100 kilometers from Gurgaon.

The Mahendragarh district is bordered by Charkhi Dadri, Bhiwani, and Jhajjar to the north, Rewari and Alwar districts of Rajasthan to the east, Jaipur and Sikar districts of Rajasthan to the south, and Sikar and Jhunjhunu districts of Rajasthan to the west. The district comprises five tehsils: Kanina, Narnaul, Ateli, Nangal Choudhary, and Mahendragarh itself. The constituency is situated along the banks of the seasonal Dohan River.

As per the 2011 Census, the estimated population of Mahendragarh was 23,977, with males constituting 53% and females 47% of the population. The average literacy rate in Mahendragarh is 76%, with male literacy at 89% and female literacy at 67%. By 2019, the total number of voters in the constituency, including general, overseas, proxy, and postal voters, was 143,874.

- Ram Bilas Sharma (BJP): 36,258 votes
- Sandeep Singh (Independent): 33,077 votes

2014 Assembly Election:
- Ram Bilas Sharma (BJP): 83,724 votes (Winner)
- Rao Dan Singh (Congress): 49,233 votes
- Nirmala Tanwar (INLD): 3,396 votes
