Rai Assembly Constituency
Rai is a village and development block located in the Sonipat district of Haryana, India. It is situated just 1 kilometer away from Sonipat city. The Rai Assembly constituency is one of the 90 legislative constituencies in Haryana. As of 2019, the total number of voters in this constituency was 119,520.
Rai falls within the National Capital Region (NCR). The Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC) has established an industrial estate in Rai to boost economic development. By 2012, this industrial estate housed 800 units with an annual turnover of approximately ₹12,000 crore (₹120 billion). The region is also known for its connection to the Amritsar-Delhi-Kolkata Industrial Corridor and freight movement.
