Vijaypur is a notified area committee situated in the Samba district of the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir. It is one of the 90 constituencies of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly and forms a part of the Jammu parliamentary constituency. The region is located along the banks of the Devak River, which is locally known as the Gupt Ganga.

Vijaypur is among the fastest-growing towns near Jammu. The establishment of an All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in the area has led to an increased population from the neighboring districts of Jammu, Samba, and Kathua. The town is named after Brij Dev Singh, who belonged to the Jamoria family.

According to the 2011 Census, Vijaypur has a population of 21,044. The average literacy rate in the area is 73%, with male literacy at 77% and female literacy at 69%.

In the 2014 Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly elections, the Vijaypur seat was won by BJPs Chander Prakash Ganga, who secured 38,607 votes. The runner-up was Surjeet Singh Slathia from JKN, who received 26,435 votes.
