Ballarpur Assembly Constituency

Ballarpur is an assembly constituency in the Indian state of Maharashtra, one of the 288 in the state. It is situated in the Chandrapur district and was established as a separate constituency following the 2008 delimitation. The constituency encompasses Mul Taluka, Pombhurna Taluka, Ballarpur Taluka, and parts of Chandrapur Taluka. Ballarpur itself is a city and a municipal council within the district, noted as the second-largest city in Chandrapur.

According to the 2011 census, the estimated population of Ballarpur Municipal Council was 89,452, with a male population of 52% and a female population of 48%. The average literacy rate in Ballarpur stood at 73%, with male literacy at 80% and female literacy at 66.5%.

In the 2019 Maharashtra Legislative Assembly elections, the Ballarpur seat was won by Sudhir Mungantiwar of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
