Byculla Assembly Constituency

Byculla is located in the Mumbai City district, which comprises 10 Assembly constituencies. In the constituency, a significant portion of the electorate consists of minority voters. Byculla falls under the Mumbai South Lok Sabha constituency along with five other Assembly segments: Worli, Shivadi, Colaba, Malabar Hill, and Mumbadevi.

In the 2019 Maharashtra Assembly elections, Yamini Yashwant Jadhav of the Shiv Sena (SHS) won the seat with 51,180 votes. Waris Pathan from the All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen (AIMIM) came second, receiving 31,157 votes. In the 2014 elections, Waris Pathan won the seat, securing 25,314 votes.
