Igatpuri (St) Assembly Constituency

Igatpuri (ST) is one of the 288 assembly constituencies in the Indian state of Maharashtra. It is a part of the Nashik Lok Sabha constituency and is reserved for members of the Scheduled Tribes. The constituency includes parts of Trimbakeshwar Tehsil and Igatpuri Tehsil, both located in the Nashik district.

Igatpuri is situated in the Western Ghats and is known for its scenic beauty, particularly during the monsoon season, making it one of the best places to visit in Maharashtra during this time. The Igatpuri Railway Station, located on the Central Railway between Mumbai and Nashik Road, serves the area. The constituency is also famous for the Vipassana International Academy, where the ancient meditation technique of Vipassana is taught.

As of the 2001 Census of India, the population of Igatpuri was approximately 31,572, with males constituting 52% and females 48% of the population.

Since 2019, the constituency has been represented by Hiraman Bhika Khoskar of the Indian National Congress. In the 2019 assembly elections, Hiraman Bhika Khoskar won the seat. Prior to that, in the 2014 elections, Nirmala Manikrao Gavit, also from the Congress party, emerged victorious.
