Kagal Assembly Constituency

The Kagal constituency is located in Kolhapur district and is one of the 10 Assembly segments within the district. The constituency encompasses the entire Kagal tehsil and parts of the Ajra and Gadhinglaj tehsils. Kagal is part of the Kolhapur Lok Sabha constituency, which includes five other Assembly segments: Chandgad, Radhanagari, Kolhapur South, Karvir, and Kolhapur North. 

In the Maharashtra Assembly elections held in 2014 and 2019, the Kagal seat was won by Hasan Mushrif of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP).
