Majalgaon Assembly Constituency

Majalgaon is located in Beed district and is one of the six Assembly constituencies in the district. The constituency encompasses the entire Dharur and Wadwani tehsils, as well as parts of Majalgaon tehsil. 

Majalgaon serves as the headquarters of Majalgaon taluka, which is situated in the northeastern part of Beed district. The constituency houses the Majalgaon Dam, constructed on the Sindphana River, a significant tributary of the Godavari.

In the 2019 Maharashtra Assembly elections, Prakashdada Solanke from the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) won the seat with 111,566 votes, defeating Rameshwarrao Baburao Kokate from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), who received 98,676 votes. In the 2014 elections, the seat was won by BJP's RT Deshmukh, who secured 112,497 votes, while Prakashdada Solanke from the NCP garnered 75,252 votes.
