Melghat (St) Assembly Constituency

Melghat (ST) Assembly Constituency is one of the 288 legislative assembly constituencies in the Indian state of Maharashtra. It is located in the Amravati district and is one of the eight assembly constituencies in this district. The constituency is reserved for candidates belonging to the Scheduled Tribes. Melghat is a part of the Amravati Lok Sabha constituency, which also includes five other assembly constituencies: Badnera, Amravati, Teosa, Daryapur (SC), and Achalpur. Additionally, Dhamangaon Railway and Morshi assembly constituencies are part of the Wardha Lok Sabha constituency, which is adjacent to Wardha district.

According to the delimitation of parliamentary and assembly constituencies in 2008, the Melghat Assembly Constituency comprises:

1. Dharni Tehsil
2. Chikhaldara Tehsil
3. Part of Achalpur Tehsil, including the revenue circles of Paratwada and Pathrot of the district.

In the 2019 Maharashtra Legislative Assembly elections, Rajkumar Patel from the Prahar Janshakti Party (PHJSP) won the Melghat seat.
