Nagpur South Assembly Constituency

Nagpur South is one of the 288 assembly constituencies in the Indian state of Maharashtra. It is a part of the Nagpur Lok Sabha constituency, which comprises six assembly segments. The constituency is designated as number 53 and is situated in Nagpur district. The boundaries of the constituency were redrawn during the delimitation exercise in 2008. It includes parts of Nagpur Taluka and several wards of the Nagpur Municipal Corporation, specifically wards numbered 9 to 11, 37 to 42, 73 to 78, 99 to 102, and 120.

In the 2019 Maharashtra Legislative Assembly elections, Mohan Mate of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won the seat with a total of 84,339 votes. The runner-up was Girish Pandav of the Indian National Congress, who secured 80,326 votes.
