Shirol Assembly Constituency

Shirol is one of the 10 Assembly constituencies located in Kolhapur district and covers the entire Shirol tehsil. Shirol forms a part of the Hatkanangale Lok Sabha constituency, along with the Assembly segments of Shahuwadi, Hatkanangale, and Ichalkaranji in Kolhapur district, and Islampur and Shirala in Sangli district. 

The Shirol region houses several sugar factories and automotive ancillary units. Shirol is located very close to Narsobawadi (Narsobachiwadi), which is renowned for the Shri Datta Temple. 

In the 2019 Assembly elections, an independent candidate, Rajendra Patil Yadravkar, won from this constituency.
