Tasgaon Kavathe Mahankal Assembly Constituency

Tasgaon-Kavathe Mahankal is one of the eight Assembly constituencies in Sangli district of Maharashtra. The constituency comprises the Tasgaon tehsil and the Kavathe Mahankal tehsil of Sangli district. The Sangli Lok Sabha seat includes five other Assembly constituencies - Miraj, Sangli, Palus-Kadegaon, Khanapur, and Jat.

In the 2019 Maharashtra Assembly elections, Suman Patil of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) won the seat with 128,371 votes. Ajitrao Shankarrao Ghorpade of the undivided Shiv Sena (SHS) received 65,839 votes. In the 2014 polls, RR Patil of the NCP secured victory with 108,310 votes. Ajitrao Shankarrao Ghorpade, then representing the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), garnered 85,900 votes.
