Governors Ball 2026: Jennie, Stray Kids and A$AP Rocky wow fans with their act
Governors Ball 2026 ended in New York after a weekend led by Lorde, Stray Kids, Jennie, KATSEYE and A$AP Rocky. The line-up underscored how global acts and K-pop are reshaping major festival stages.

The Governors Ball Music Festival 2026 wrapped up in New York on Sunday, June 7, with performances from some of the biggest names in music, including Lorde, Stray Kids, A$AP Rocky, Jennie, Kali Uchis and KATSEYE. Held at Flushing Meadows Corona Park, the three-day event drew thousands of fans and showcased a lineup that increasingly mirrored how audiences consume music in the streaming era.
One of the biggest highlights of this year’s edition was the prominence of K-pop and Korean-affiliated acts. Stray Kids (Bang Chan, Lee Know, Changbin, Hyunjin, Han, Felix, Seungmin, and I.N) made history as one of the festival’s headliners. The eight-member group delivered a high-octane performance packed with fan favourites, drawing one of the largest crowds of the weekend and reaffirming K-pop’s ability to command prime festival slots traditionally reserved for Western acts.
BLACKPINK member Jennie (Kim Jennie), meanwhile, continued her rise as a solo performer. Her set drew significant attention from festival-goers, reflecting how she has successfully expanded beyond her group identity through solo releases, fashion influence and international appearances.
Another act generating considerable buzz was KATSEYE (Daniela, Lara, Manon (on hiatus), Megan, Sophia and Yoonchae). Created through HYBE and Geffen Records’ international audition project, the six-member group represents a new model of pop stardom that is built from the outset with a global audience in mind. Their energetic set and enthusiastic reception suggested that audiences are increasingly open to artists whose identities transcend a single market or language.
Beyond K-pop, Governors Ball delivered a diverse musical landscape. Lorde’s headline performance was among the weekend’s most anticipated moments, with fans eager to see the New Zealand singer-songwriter’s latest evolution on stage. Kali Uchis brought her signature blend of Latin pop, R&B and soul, while A$AP Rocky’s appearance added star power to the festival’s hip-hop offerings.
The lineup also featured acclaimed acts such as Japanese Breakfast, Pierce The Veil, Wet Leg, Blood Orange, Mariah the Scientist, Tyla, Conan Gray, Clairo, Wallows, The Backseat Lovers and King Princess. Together, they represented a broad spectrum of sounds, from indie rock and alternative pop to R&B, Afrobeats and rap.
As global artistes continue to command larger audiences and headline major festivals, Governors Ball 2026 offered another reminder that the future of pop music is increasingly borderless.
