Citadel 2 trailer: Priyanka Chopra, Richard Madden face new threats, betrayals

The trailer for Season 2 of Citadel has been released, offering a first look at the next chapter of the spy drama. The series sees Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Richard Madden and Stanley Tucci reprise their roles, with the new season set to stream on Prime Video from May 6.

The upcoming instalment follows elite operatives Nadia Sinh (Priyanka) and Mason Kane (Madden), alongside Bernard Orlick (Tucci), as they confront a fresh global threat. Their agency, Citadel, remains in ruins after being dismantled by Manticore – a powerful network backed by influential families.

According to the official synopsis, the trio must regroup and recruit a new team of operatives to stop a conspiracy that could alter the course of humanity. The trailer hints at high-stakes action, shifting alliances and betrayals, as the story expands into a more complex global conflict.

Season 2 also introduces new cast members, including Lesley Manville, Ashleigh Cummings, Jack Reynor, Matt Berry, Lina El Arabi, Merle Dandridge, Gabriel Leone and Rayna Vallandingham.

The new season will comprise seven episodes.

In April 2025, Amazon MGM Studios announced that spin-offs Citadel: Honey Bunny, starring Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Varun Dhawan, and Citadel: Diana, led by Matilda De Angelis, would not continue. The studio stated that elements from these storylines would be incorporated into the second season of Citadel.
