Elle trailer: The Legally Blonde prequel brings pink power to high school
The first trailer for Elle introduces Elle Woods, played by Lexi Minetree, as a pink-loving teenager navigating high school in 1995. It sets up the friendships, romance and family bonds that shape the woman audiences later meet at Harvard.

Pink leads the way in the first trailer for Elle, the Legally Blonde prequel that explores Elle Woods' life before Harvard Law School. Set in 1995, the series introduces a younger Elle, played by Lexi Minetree, as she tries to find her place in high school, navigating friendships, romance, family changes and the choices that already set her apart.
The trailer sets up a coming-of-age story in which Elle is still far from the confident law student audiences meet later. Instead, she is shown navigating what the series calls the “tumultuous waters” of teenage life, while leaning on her family for support. A key part of that story is her growing bond with her mother, as the series traces the moments that shape the Elle Woods audiences later meet in the film franchise
Throughout the preview, Elle is seen in her signature shades of pink. At one point, fellow students tell her, “Pink isn’t a personality,” while the track ‘I Am Just a Girl’ plays in the background. The line and the song lend the trailer some edge while keeping it close to the visual world long associated with the character.
According to the synopsis, the first season follows Elle as she relies on her family as an anchor through every setback. As she faces one challenge after another, her relationship with her mother, Eva, grows stronger. The series explores how those experiences shape her into the version of Elle Woods that audiences come to know later.
