Television actor Akashdeep Saigal returned to the Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi franchise, and his entry has already introduced a major twist in the reboot.. The actor, who played the iconic villain Ansh Gujral in the original show, is now back in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2 as Ansh’s second son, Reyansh, also known as Rio.
Akashdeep’s entry has left viewers shocked. In the latest episode, it is revealed that Reyansh lives with Karan, played by Hiten Tejwani, and calls him “papa.” Tulsi, played by Smriti Irani, is stunned on seeing him, as he looks exactly like Ansh.
Akashdeep became one of the most memorable characters in the original series with his portrayal of Ansh Gujral, whose story ended dramatically when Tulsi shot him.
His return was teased in earlier promos that hinted at a mystery character connected to Tulsi’s past. The promo showed Tulsi revisiting painful memories before an unexpected visitor arrived at her door, leaving fans curious.
Earlier reports suggested that actor Pearl V Puri was being considered for the role. However, the makers ultimately brought back Akashdeep, adding a nostalgic twist for longtime viewers.
