Anusha Dandekar clarifies cryptic post after Karan-Tejasswi's on-screen proposal

Actor Anusha Dandekar has reacted to speculation around her recent cryptic Instagram post after her former partner Karan Kundrra proposed to Tejasswi Prakash on the reality show Desi Bling. She said the message had nothing to do with the couple and expressed frustration over people linking it to their engagement.

The speculation began after videos and photos of Karan and Tejasswi's proposal from the Netflix show surfaced online. Soon after, Anusha shared a post that read, “I’m thanking God!!! #iykyk (sic).” Although she did not mention anyone, many social media users assumed it was aimed at Karan and his engagement to Tejasswi.

Anusha says post was unrelated

In a fresh Instagram post on Friday, Anusha clarified that her earlier message was for her own reasons and not connected to Karan and Tejasswi. She also objected to articles and social media users drawing conclusions about her post.

“Omg. Clearly, you don’t know, especially articles! When I talk about something specific, I say so. If I’m thanking God for my own reasons, you still make it about that and then come at me for your own assumption! Unreal! And for all the cute DMs, I saw them all & I agree. Now everyone can assume what you wrote to me. Love yooou (sic),” she wrote.

Karan proposes to Tejasswi on Desi Bling

Karan Kundrra proposed to actor-girlfriend Tejasswi Prakash on Desi Bling, Netflix's Indian adaptation of Dubai Bling, which premiered on May 20. The proposal was staged at a waterfront venue with dramatic lighting, and Karan went down on one knee and asked, “Tejasswi Prakash, will you marry me?”

The couple are yet to announce the engagement on social media.
