It was about style, class, poise and of course the Indian Army. Coming from an Army background, it was Ritu Beri's way of paying her tribute to the Army personnel who have fought for our country.

Unlike the chic ramps set for a usual fashion show, this one was marked with a difference. With flags of the Indian Army adorning the sides of the whole stretch of the ramp, with a literal Army band introduced in the middle, it was a perfect setting to trigger off the night ahead.

Sadak Chhap by Nida Mahmood was truly a 'wow' show from the word go! The whole composition had so much theatrics from the time the street boys barged into the scene beating drums and blowing trumpets, to the last walk Carol took in an emerald green helmet with kites flying out of it.

Nida Mahmmod's 'Sadak Chhaap' took the Indian bylanes from junk to funk. Packaging materials such as chips bags, tea and masala packets etc have been salvaged in a unique manger to make headgears, bags, and a mesh of accessories. Fused and canvas printed carry bags, ping pong balls, large sparkling red bindis, stickers, sequin sheets, nylon mesh and so much more was brought to life in this collection.
