TMC Crisis News: Will TMC survive? Here's what rebel MP Satabdi Roy told India Today
Questioning the future of the Trinamool Congress, rebel MP Satabdi Roy said she was "not sure" whether the party would survive in its current form, adding that she was shocked by how quickly it began to unravel after its electoral setback. Roy blamed rampant corruption for the crisis, saying Mamata Banerjee should have seen the warning signs much earlier. "She is such a senior politician -- how was she unaware of corruption on this scale? And when people like us tried to alert her, why didn't she listen?" Roy asked.
While distancing Abhishek Banerjee from sole responsibility for the party's decline, Roy said his lifestyle and public conduct did not align with what people expected from a political leader. She contrasted him with Mamata Banerjee, whose biggest strength, she said, was her simplicity. Roy also expressed doubts about the party's future under Mamata, arguing that while the chief minister remains a fighter, age is a factor and the party ultimately survives on its grassroots workers. "If most workers are moving away, how will the party sustain itself?" she wondered.

TMC MPs Crisis: Satabdi Roy says corruption erased Mamata's work, denies any pressure to join rebel camp
TMC MP Satabdi Roy told India Today that while Suvendu Adhikari's political style and lifestyle were fundamentally different from what Mamata Banerjee stood for, the rebel group wanted to remain a separate bloc and work for Bengal's development with the support of the current government.
Roy alleged that the gains from Mamata Banerjee's governance had been undermined by widespread corruption within the party. Rejecting suggestions that she was acting under pressure, she said she had nothing to fear and no corruption allegations against her. Roy also claimed that she had never taken "cut money" and challenged critics to verify her record in her constituency.

TMC Internal Conflict Live: TMC MP Satabdi Roy justifies hosting Suvendu Adhikari, says corruption led to party's downfall
In her first interview after hosting West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari at her Delhi residence, TMC MP Satabdi Roy said she had requested a meeting with him to discuss how they could work together going forward. She added that several other leaders who wanted to meet Adhikari were invited to her residence and joined the discussion.

Roy said that despite being with the Trinamool Congress for 17 years, recurring issues within the party remained unaddressed. She claimed she had repeatedly raised concerns through internal channels but received neither a hearing nor any corrective action. According to her, unchecked corruption within the organisation ultimately contributed to the party's political decline.
