Amit Shah hits out at Congress for 'clean chit' to Pak, blames Nehru for POK

Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched a sharp attack on the Congress in the Lok Sabha, accusing the opposition of giving Pakistan a 'clean chit' on terrorism. This was in response to remarks by former Home Minister P. Chidambaram questioning the proof of the attackers being from Pakistan. Shah stated the government has evidence, including Pakistani voter IDs and Pakistan-made items. He asserted, "I want to show you the proof that all three of them were Pakistanis." The Home Minister contrasted the NDA's decisive actions like surgical strikes with the previous UPA government's approach of sending dossiers. Shah also blamed past Congress leadership, holding Jawaharlal Nehru responsible for the existence of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir due to a 1947 ceasefire and for India not getting a permanent UNSC seat. In response, Priyanka Gandhi highlighted that Indira Gandhi had split Pakistan to create Bangladesh and questioned the Home Minister over intelligence failures.
