Amritpal Singh had no option but to surrender: Punjab Police

Sukhchain Singh Gill, Punjab IGP, said,"Amritpal Singh was detained on Sunday morning at 6.45 am. We have invoked NSA against him. He was arrested from Rode village in Moga based on intelligence input. He was surrounded because of nakkas that were put in place. Amritpal Singh ran out of options, so he had to surrender." "He has been sent to Dibrugarh. This was a joint operation between Punjab police and intelligence agencies. Amritpal Singh has been arrested under the NSA." Punjab Police is committed to maintaining peace in the state.
