The Shaheen Bagh protest entered its 66th day on Tuesday and an end to it is nowhere to be seen. The Delhi-Noida road is still blocked. The Supreme Court appointed two senior lawyers -- Sanjay Hegde and Sadhna Ramachandran -- as interlocutors to the protesters to persuade them to move to a different location and free the blockade. While the commuters, who are facing long traffic jams due to the Shaheen bagh protest, call it a public nuisance, the protesters, however, stand firm on their demand and maintain that they will call-off the protest as soon as the Centre meets their demand to roll back the Citizenship Amendment Act.
