Video: Three men drag girl on Jalandhar road after phone snatching

Three robbers dragged a teenage girl for nearly 400 meters during a phone-snatching incident in Jalandhar, Punjab, last Thursday.

CCTV footage of the incident shows the girl being violently dragged down the road, sparking outrage online.

The 18-year-old student was returning home after visiting her sister-in-law when three men on a motorbike approached her. After crashing into a wall and briefly apologising, they attempted to snatch her phone. Despite the girl letting go of the phone, the robbers continued to drag her along the road. The ordeal ended when a police officer intervened and rescued her.

The police have registered a case and are investigating, but the suspects, including one wearing a turban and two with their faces covered, remain at large. The girl's family chased the assailants but were unable to catch them.
