Hold farm laws or we will: 'Disappointed' SC tells Centre

The Supreme Court directed the central government on Monday to hold the farm laws or the court will, while noting that the situation has become worse. During the hearing of a clutch of pleas challenging the new farm laws, the apex court said it was "disappointed" with the way the negotiation process with the protesting farmers over the farm laws was handled by the central government. Video: Vijay takes oath as Tamil Nadu CM amid loud cheers and chants

TVK leader C Joseph Vijay on Sunday took oath as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu amid a sea of supporters, his friends and family, and several political leaders. Eight other TVK leaders were sworn in besides him, as ministers in the new government. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi also attended the ceremony.
