When asked about Jitin Prasada quitting the party and rumblings in Congress, Salman Khurshid said, "If people are leaving us, we cannot be defined or described in terms of their decisions. They take their decision, they go where they want to go. In this particular case, I feel very, very bad. I feel very low because his father was a good friend of mine. He's been a very good friend of mine. We've all liked him as a younger brother, as a younger person and I'm deeply sad that he decided to go. But that's his choice, his decision. Let it rest there."

Newly sworn-in West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari, who is in the national capital for his first official visit since assuming office, met President Droupadi Murmu, Vice President, and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh. He will also meet Prime Minister Modi later today.
