The fight in Mumbai North Central consituency has been a fight between the daughters of two veteran political leaders- Poonam Mahajan of BJP and Priya Dutt of Congress. Poonam Mahajan is the daughter of senior BJP leader Pramod Mahajan. Poonam Mahajan had lost the 2009 elections to Priya Dutt, daughter of late veteran actor and parliamentarian Sunil Dutt and sister of Sanjay Dutt. Mahajan won this constituency in 2014 and 2019. But it remains to be seen whether the two political leaders will be fielded by the Mahayuti and Maha Vikas Aghadi alliances in the upcoming election.
