'MK Stalin govt pressurised multiplexes to stop The Kerala Story's screening in TN': BJP

The BJP has alleged that Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin pressurised multiplexes in the state to prohibit the screening of The Kerala Story, which is at the centre of controversy. Theatres in Tamil Nadu announced to have halted the screening of the movie from Sunday, citing law and order and poor response to the team as the reason. The BJP also taunted CM Stalin-led government over blocking the screening of the movie, instead of controlling a mob or miscreants who "may" stir a ruckus in the state.

Video: Vijay takes oath as Tamil Nadu CM amid loud cheers and chants

TVK leader C Joseph Vijay on Sunday took oath as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu amid a sea of supporters, his friends and family, and several political leaders. Eight other TVK leaders were sworn in besides him, as ministers in the new government. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi also attended the ceremony. The TVK managed to secure the Governor's nod to form the government after the Congress, the CPI, the CPI(M), the VCK, and IUML extended their support to the Vijay-led party for a colaition government.
