Chennai tourist crushed to death as elephants fight at Kodagu camp in Karnataka
A thirty-three-year-old tourist from Chennai was crushed to death when one of the fighting elephants fell on her at Kodagu camp in Karnataka.
Several areas in Bengaluru saw waterlogging and traffic congestion after a spell of rain on Tuesday. Roads were submerged, the metro station was flooded and people were seen wading through waters amid waterlogging.
Water leakage was reported at Metro stations including Pattandur Agrahara (ITPB) and Nallurhalli in the Whitefield-KR Puram section, which was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on March 25. Heavy showers also affected flight operations at Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) in Bengaluru.
"Overall, 14 flights were diverted. 12 were diverted to Chennai, one to Coimbatore and one to Hyderabad. Six departures were delayed," an official told PTI.
