David Warner ecstatic, Virat Kohli deflated as Sunrisers Hyderabad clinch maiden IPL title

David Warner led Sunrisers Hyderabad from the front scoring a brutal 38-ball 69 on the final night against Royal Challengers Bangalore

Yuvraj Singh stole the show on the final night at the Chinnaswamy Stadium by smashing a 23-ball 38 that included a mammoth 117m six against Royal Challengers Bangalore.  

Virat Kohli didn't disappoint. The RCB skipper scored yet another half-century in the final of the IPL 2016 against Sunrisers Hyderabad. He also won the Orange Cap for scoring 973 runs in the season.

Ben Cutting won the Man of the Match on the big night for his all-round effort. Cutting scored a 15-ball 38 to take SRH's total past the 200-run mark on Sunday. His knock included four sixes and three boundaries. 

Ben Cutting shone with the ball as well in the final removing danger men Chris Gayle and KL Rahul in his four-over spell. 

Chris Gayle and Virat Kohli gave RCB a flying start in chase of 209 vs Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL 2016 final. However, the home team fell short of the target by 8 runs to finish as the second best team in the tournament.

Chris Gayle notched his season best score of 76 in the final against Sunrisers Hyderabad. However, he fell prey to an off-cutter from Ben Cutting. 

Shikhar Dhawan went past the 500-run mark in the IPL 2016 season when he scored a 25-ball 28 in the final on Sunday. 

Shane Watson was taken to the cleaners by Sunrisers Hyderabad batsmen as he was pummeled for 61 runs from four overs in the IPL 2016 final on Sunday.

Yuzvendra Chahal picked up the wicket of Shikhar Dhawan and hurt Sunrisers Hyderabad early on the final night of IPL 2016.
