From breezy layering to creepy crawlies, Day 3 of Wills India Fashion Week had it all!
Have a look at the highlights of Day 3 of Wills India Fashion Week.
Bodice by Ruchika Sachdeva's breezy layering
Sticking to her androgynous roots, Ruchika played with light fabrics, earthy colours, and lots of sheers and clean, crisp lines. Almost every look had atleast two-to-three layered details with micro stripes and checks. Center parted hair and cool, strappy flatforms completed the models' look.
Jenjum Gadi's creepy crawlies
Monochrome ruled Jenjum's inspiration from SS'14 with a bit of colour thrown in, in parts. He's made sure insects like beetles and dragonflies are going from creepy to chic with the bold motifs he's created. The sari-kimono-hybrid is bound to catch some red carpet attention!
Mrinalini Gupta's pleated wonders
Playing with white, tan, and gravel hues, Mrinalini created a whole new space with her version of pleats (shredded, asymmetrical, and criss-crossed) on everything! From billowy palazzos to jumpsuits, shift dresses and sheer maxi gowns, wedge hemlines were a big theme seen throughout.
Dev r Nil's mirror motifs
First off, we LOVE the geometric print cigarette pants-how graphic! The duo worked with dainty embroidery and memorable prints on crop jackets, capes and pants in mustard, blue and black. Overheard: people already planning orders of the mirror motif capes and maxi dresses.
Namrata Joshipura's 'electric' works
The stage was set with massive electricity poles that reflected trippy neon lights. Namrata focused on silver metallic surface embellishment on thigh-high slit gowns, high-waist skirts, jumpsuits, and short, printed dresses. With plunging necklines and fitted silhouettes, these looks are for the girl who likes more than just a little bit of sexy in her wardrobe. The gold boy shorts and silver jumper combination definitely got our attention!
Rohit + Rahul's signature sequins
This time around, the 'kings of sequin' kept things on the sexy, subtle and sophisticated side, though we did spot our fair share of sparkle. Versions of peach and blue were embellished with silver and gold on brand new R&R silhouettes -asymmetrical hemlines, sheer panelling, and sexy slits.
