Political tongues are wagging in the nation's capital that Jammu & Kashmir's popular Governor, Jagmohan, may not complete his term which is expected to expire in November 1989.

The reason is not that the Centre is unhappy with him. The prime minister has been advised to pull Jagmohan out of Srinagar as many believe that he could be an important addition to the Cabinet in a pre-election year. Jagmohan has already been sounded out by the high command on whether he would be willing to join as minister for urban development.
