<p><strong><span>Q.</span> What do you think the Ruskin Bond Festival can achieve?</strong></p><p>Siddharth, my grandson, has made it his mission to extend my literary legacy. He has started the Ruskin Bond Foundation with a few friends, and they've already been involved in some events. This is the first time they&rsquo;ve put on a show for me, supported by StoneX Global. I continue to work in spite of my poor eyesight, thanks to my granddaughter Shrishti who very sweetly takes my dictation.</p><p><strong><span>Q.</span> Is there a book you really wanted to write, but never got round to?</strong></p><p>Not really, because I&rsquo;ve been writing for 75 years from the age of 16. At that age, maybe I wanted to write a big novel, but I realised that my talents were more suited to the shorter versions of fiction—the short story or even a novella. I&rsquo;ve always worked within my limits and never felt that I should have written a big fat novel. I don&rsquo;t even read big fat novels.</p><p><strong><span>Q.</span> At 92, do you feel age is just a number?</strong></p><p>In a way, yes. Physically, I&rsquo;m not going to take part in the Olympics. Apart from the necessity to learn to walk post-surgery, I&rsquo;m in reasonably good health. Apart from the last couple of years when my health deteriorated, I have always felt the same age since I was 16.</p><p><strong><span>Q.</span> What life lessons can you share with our readers?</strong></p><p>Don&rsquo;t give up easily. Hold on to your dreams. Realise that the road ahead is not an easy one, but you must navigate it in as sensible a way as possible.
