Captain Vijayakanth and Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa, once bitter enemies but allies in the last Assembly polls, are drifting apart. Vijayakanth, who has a drinking problem, was once called an 'alcoholic' by Jayalalithaa. He in turn had asked whether she had ever filled his cup.
