Aishwarya looks every bit the Cannes empress in feathered couture
Aishwarya Rai stepped out for Cannes interviews in a custom Fjolla Nila gown and continued her string of festival appearances. Take a look at the pictures here.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan stepped out for Cannes Film Festival interviews in a custom creation by Fjolla Nila that perfectly balanced structure with soft theatricality. Collaborating with stylist Mohit Rai, she opted for a nude-toned, form-fitting silhouette that moved away from the oversized shapes of previous seasons, leaning instead into classic European glamour.
The gown’s bodice served as a canvas for meticulous craftsmanship, featuring curved patterns of crystal embellishments that caught the Mediterranean light with every movement. However, the true focal point was the floor-sweeping feathered cape draped over her shoulders, adding texture and architectural drama to the soft palette.
With daughter Aaradhya Bachchan capturing moments behind the scenes, the appearance marks a deliberate, high-fashion evolution for the star, proving that after more than two decades at the festival, she can still shift the sartorial conversation.
Aishwarya Rai's outfit for Cannes closing
For the Cannes closing, Aishwarya wore a white pantsuit designed by Chinese designer Cheney Chan. The outfit included a blazer with bejewelled lapels, a feathered cape and tailored trousers with lace detailing.
Meanwhile, Aishwarya made her first appearance in a sculpted blue mermaid-style gown by designer Amit Aggarwal, marking his Cannes debut. She completed the look with a shimmery dupatta.
Following the red carpet, the Dhoom 2 actor attended the Lights on Women’s Worth event, L’Oreal Paris’ initiative celebrating emerging female filmmakers. She was accompanied by her daughter Aaradhya Bachchan, who wore a ruby-red gown with a matching cape.
Aishwarya's last theatrical release was Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan II (2023).
