Breaking hearts to breaking bones: SRK smitten by Alia Bhatt in Alpha teaser

Shah Rukh Khan praised Alia Bhatt after the teaser of Alpha was released, highlighting her shift into action and wishing the film's team well. Amitabh Bachchan also congratulated the team while sharing his anticipation.

Sharing his response on Instagram Story, Shah Rukh Khan wrote, "Well done Alia, in years from breaking hearts and now to breaking bones, your skill set keeps expanding. Lord Bobby....you are so good when you are bad!!! Big hug. And all the best to Shiv and his team (sic)."

Amitabh Bachchan also praised Alpha and its team. "Love and wishes to my adorable Alia (sic)," the veteran actor wrote.

Alia's mother-in-law and actor Neetu Kapoor also reacted to the video and wrote, "Ufffff", along with fire emoticons.

What the Alpha teaser shows

The teaser offers a glimpse into the origin story of Sita, tracing her journey before she evolves into a skilled spy. It begins on her 18th birthday, when she shares a quiet moment with her father, portrayed by Bobby Deol, before being thrust into a dangerous mission at a hotel.

It also introduces "Alpha", a covert programme created to train India's next generation of elite operatives. Through a series of gruelling physical and psychological tests, recruits are prepared for high-stakes espionage assignments.

As the teaser progresses, it moves into action-led sequences, showing Alia in hand-to-hand combat and high-risk operations. The footage highlights Sita's transformation into an agent capable of taking on multiple opponents and navigating life-threatening situations.

Directed by Shiv Rawail, the film stars Alia Bhatt in the lead, with Sharvari appearing in a significant role. It is the first female-led instalment in the YRF Spy Universe. Alpha is slated to release in theatres on July 3.
