Ranveer took breaks to be with pregnant Deepika: Dhurandhar 2 actor Abhay Arora
According to co-star Abhay Arora, Ranveer Singh balanced the demanding shoot of Dhurandhar 2 with personal responsibilities, frequently flying back to be with pregnant wife Deepika Padukone. Arora praised the actor's dedication to family in a recent interview.
Amid the massive success of Dhurandhar: The Revenge, Ranveer Singh is being praised not just for his on-screen performance, but also for how he balanced work and personal life during a crucial phase. While filming the action-packed project, the actor made consistent efforts to be present for his wife, Deepika Padukone, who was expecting their first child at the time.
Actor Abhay Arora, who played Yasir in the film, recently opened up about witnessing Ranveer’s commitment first-hand.
Speaking about the actor’s routine, he said, "Ranveer would try his best to get days off between shooting, even if it was just three or four days, so he could fly back to his wife and take care of his family. The way Ranveer takes care of his family is wonderful."
Ranveer and Deepika, who got married in 2018 in a grand ceremony at Lake Como, have often been admired for their strong bond.
Their relationship began on the sets of Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela in 2013, eventually leading to a private engagement in 2015 before their wedding. The couple welcomed their daughter, Dua, on September 8, 2024.
Meanwhile, Dhurandhar 2, directed by Aditya Dhar, continues to perform strongly at the box office. The film features an ensemble cast including Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, Rakesh Bedi, Gaurav Gera, and Sara Arjun.
Set against the backdrop of Karachi’s Lyari neighbourhood, the story follows the rise of Indian spy Hamza Ali Mazari in the underworld, while also tracing his past as Jaskirat Singh Rangi.
Backed by producers Jyoti Deshpande and Lokesh Dhar, the film was released on March 19 across multiple languages, including Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam.
