
Dhurandhar 2 now highest-grossing Indian film in North America, beats Baahubali 2
Ranveer Singh's Dhurandhar: The Revenge is now the highest-grossing Indian film in North America, shattering the nine-year record Baahubali 2 held in that continent.

Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar The Revenge, starring Ranveer Singh, is now the highest-grossing Indian film in North America, surpassing the nine-year-old box office record Baahubali 2: The Conclusion held in that continent.
Released on March 19, Dhurandhar: The Revenge, also called Dhurandhar 2, has grossed over $22 million (around Rs 205 crore) in North America, overtaking the previous record of more than $20 million (Rs 186 crore) that Baahubali 2 created.
As per the trade portal Sacnilk, the first part of the Dhurandhar franchise earned $20.60 million (Rs 194 crore) in its lifetime. With this, Dhurandhar 2 has dethroned Baahubali 2 in North America, and is expected to hold its record for long.

The makers of Baahubali 2 congratulated Aditya Dhar and his team for the achievement. They acknowledged the milestone on the film’s official X page, praising Dhurandhar 2 for setting new box office benchmarks in India, the USA, and worldwide.
Shobu Yarlagadda, producer of Baahubali 2, expressed his appreciation for Dhurandhar 2 on X, writing that he enjoyed the film and was happy to see it break records.
Dhurandhar: The Revenge follows Indian spy Jaskirat Singh Rangi, played by Ranveer Singh, who infiltrates Lyari, Karachi, in Pakistan in the guise of Hamza Ali Mazari, to wipe out gangs that carry out terror activity in India. The story charts Hamza’s rise through Lyari’s political and underworld ranks while executing his mission.
The film features a supporting cast that includes Arjun Rampal, R Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, Rakesh Bedi, and Sara Arjun. Shashwat Sachdev’s music for the film has become popular among audiences.
Baahubali 2, directed by SS Rajamouli, starred Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah Bhatia, Ramya Krishnan, Sathyaraj, and Nassar. It held the North American record for highest-grossing Indian film before Dhurandhar 2’s recent success.
So far, Dhurandhar 2 has earned over 1,300 crore worldwide and more than 840 crore nett (gross minus taxes) in India. The film's commercial performance has been strong in multiple territories, including North America.
This new record marks a significant achievement for Dhurandhar:The Revenge and its team, reflecting the film's wide appeal and box office strength across global markets.
