Singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh has returned to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, two years after his debut on the late-night programme. Diljit shared a sneak peek from the studio on Instagram on Monday, showing him teaching Fallon a few Bhangra moves ahead of the upcoming episode.
The show's official Instagram handle also posted clips from the set, adding to the excitement around Diljit's appearance. The popular Indian singer-actor seems to have featured in the episode as a guest, unlike his debut in 2024 when he only appeared as a performer.

In the video shared by Diljit, the clip begins with members of his team opening the studio door and saying, "Kya lagta tha nahi lautenge? (You thought we would not come back?)." The camera then turns to Diljit, who says, "Kaha tha na ke ek baar Punjabi aa jayein toh chethi nahi jaate Jimmy Fallon aa gaye oye (We told you, once a Punjabi shows up, they don't leave in a hurry. We are here at Jimmy Fallon)." He is then seen doing Bhangra in the studio.
The video was set to the tunes and vocals of his latest track Morni. Diljit also shared on his Instagram Stories that Jimmy had written him a thank-you note, expressing his gratitude for his return to the show.
In another clip posted by the show’s official handle, Diljit is seen giving Fallon a crash course in Bhangra. The two are shown dancing together and laughing through the exchange. The posts also drew strong responses on social media, with fans filling the comments section with messages of anticipation for the episode.

Diljit first appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in 2024. During that appearance, he performed G.O.A.T. and Born to Shine - his celebrated tracks, and also did Bhangra on stage. He was introduced on the show as the "biggest Punjabi artist on the planet" and appeared in a white dhoti kurta and turban.
Diljit Dosanjh's recent films
Apart from releasing new music and planning his upcoming tour, Diljit has also been busy with his acting work. He was most recently seen in Border 2. The sequel to JP Dutta's Border was released in January this year and collected over Rs 400 crore worldwide. Directed by Anurag Singh and produced by Bhushan Kumar, Nidhi Dutta, JP Dutta and Krishan Kumar, the film also featured Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Ahan Shetty, Mona Singh, Anya Singh, Medha Rana and Sonam Bajwa.
He will next be seen in Imtiaz Ali's Partition film Main Vaapas Aaunga. The film marks Diljit's second collaboration with Imtiaz after the 2024 film Amar Singh Chamkila. Set against the backdrop of the 1947 Partition, Main Vaapas Aaunga also stars Naseeruddin Shah, Sharvari Wagh and Vedang Raina, and is slated to release in cinemas on June 12.
With his return to Jimmy Fallon's show now teased through studio clips and social media posts, Diljit has once again brought attention to his international popularity.
