Reports of trouble in actor Mouni Roy’s marriage to businessman Suraj Nambiar gathered pace on Tuesday after fresh claims about cheating and financial misconduct surfaced. The latest speculation centred on claims that Suraj cheated Mouni to "gain fame" and that the couple are no longer living together.
The rumours remain unverified at this stage. Neither Mouni nor Suraj has issued an official statement confirming or denying the claims around their marriage. Even so, the buzz grew online as fans tracked and found that they unfollowed each other on Instagram, apart from archiving pictures and Suraj even deleting his social media account.
What the latest reports claim
As reported by ABP News’ Saas Bahu Aur Saazish, Mouni and Suraj are separated and haven't been living together for a while now. The report also alleged that Suraj "cheated" Mouni to gain fame and "used her money" during their relationship.
These allegations have not been independently verified.
Social media activity raises concerns
Social media users began discussing possible trouble between the two on Tuesday. The chatter started after fans noticed that Mouni and Suraj had unfollowed each other on Instagram. Later, users also pointed out that Suraj’s Instagram account appeared to have been deleted.
Fans also noticed that pictures of Suraj, including the couple’s wedding photographs, were not visible on Mouni’s Instagram profile any more.

Mouni and Suraj got married on January 27, 2022, in Goa. Their wedding celebrations included a traditional Malayali ceremony, followed by a Bengali wedding ceremony. Reportedly, the two were dating for three years before deciding to get married. The couple had first met on New Year's Eve in 2019 in Dubai.
Suraj, who is from Bengaluru, is a businessman and investment banker. He had reportedly lived in Dubai before marrying Mouni. Over the years, the couple often shared glimpses of their relationship on Instagram, posting pictures from holidays, date nights and celebrations, until the recent rumours surfaced.
Mouni is one of the best-known faces on Indian television. She has appeared in shows such as Kasturi, Devon Ke Dev...Mahadev and Naagin, and has also been part of reality shows including Nach Baliye 6, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 7 and Zara Nachke Dikha. More recently, she hosted Temptation Island India. She has also acted in films such as Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva (2022), Gold (2018) and Made in China (2019).
