Vishal to Varalaxmi: 5 Tamil actors who turned to the small screen

After Kamal Haasan, many stars from Kollywood have understood the importance of television and reality shows. Now, young actors Vishal, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar and Prasanna have forayed into small screen apart from doing films.

Vishal, who is awaiting the release of Sandakozhi 2, has turned to the small screen. He is hosting a show Naam Oruvar, which is the adaptation of Telugu reality show Memu Saitam hosted by Lakshmi Manchu.

Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, who is busy with a slew of films, has turned anchor for a reality show. The show titled Unnai Arindhaal will discuss the problems faced by the general public in the society.

Prasanna, who has had a fabulous 2018, will be hosting a show titled Soppana Sundari. This show is the adaptation of America's Next Top Model. Soppana Sundari is a talent show to find a supermodel in Tamil Nadu.

It is rumoured that actor Karthi will also make a splash in the small screen in future. He is expected to host a family game show titled Family Power. However, an official confirmation is yet to arrive.

Arya is one of the leading actors in Kollywood. He recently made his television debut with Enga Veetu Mappillai. This show follows a similar pattern of The Bachelorette where Arya should find his soulmate.
