Does Jr NTR die before interval in Dragon? Wild fan theories spark fresh buzz
Fans are abuzz with theories about Jr NTR's upcoming film Dragon, speculating that his character might die before the interval and return in another form. Despite the excitement, the makers have not confirmed any such plot twist, leaving the speculation purely in the realm of fan imagination.

Fan theories are doing the rounds over Jr NTR and Prashanth Neel's upcoming film Dragon, with social media users wondering if the actor's character dies before the interval and returns in another form. The chatter began after an X fan page, Cine Gossips, claimed that an upcoming film by a "blockbuster filmmaker who is just four film old in his career" has a major twist in which the "hero dies in the interval".
Internet cooks wild Dragon theories
That was enough to send fans into overdrive, and many quickly connected the hint to Dragon, Neel's upcoming Tollywood action thriller with Jr NTR. The theory now being passed around online is that Jr NTR's character Luger dies in the first half, only for Dragon, said to be his lookalike, to emerge later.

For now, though, there is no confirmation that the leaked plot being discussed is from Dragon.
In the comments under the post, fans built their own versions of the twist. One wrote, "So obvious, that villain NTR dies in the interval and the hero NTR is replaced by Anil Kapoor with code name Dragon." Another fan suggested, "Definitely it will be Dragon. Prashanth Neel is cooking something."
The speculation has largely centred on whether Neel is setting up a double-role-like turn, with Luger and Dragon as two separate identities.
Not everyone was convinced that the post was about Dragon. Some users guessed that it could instead refer to Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Spirit with Prabhas, while others even mentioned Jailer 2. A section of fans also pointed out that variations of such a twist have already been seen in popular southern films, including Suriya's sci-fi thriller 24 and SS Rajamouli and Nani's Eega.

About NTR-Neel's Dragon
What is officially known about Dragon is this: Prashanth Neel has hinted that the film is being mounted as an anti-hero drama with a patriotic core. Its first glimpse, released on May 19 just minutes before Jr NTR's birthday on May 20, drew strong attention online.
Set against a 1967 backdrop of opium plantations and a global drug war, the teaser builds towards the arrival of Luger, described as the Assassin-in-Chief of the Afghan Trading Company. Sharing the teaser on X, Jr NTR wrote, "The DEVIL WAS BORN."
Dragon also stars Anil Kapoor, Ashutosh Rana, Rukmini Vasanth and Biju Menon, and is scheduled for a theatrical release in June 2027.
Until the makers say more, the interval-death theory remains exactly what it is right now: fan speculation, loud, inventive and impossible to ignore.
