Actor Ravi Mohan has taken up the Sabarimala vratam amid an ongoing and public marital dispute with estranged wife Aarti. The actor, who recently addressed the media in an emotional press conference, is currently said to be observing the sacred vow associated with the annual pilgrimage to Sabarimala by wearing prayer beads and following fasting rituals. At the press meet, Ravi said that he would take a break from acting till his divorce is finalised.

The development comes at a turbulent time in Ravi’s personal life. During the press interaction, the actor spoke at length about his troubled marriage, claiming he had been denied access to his children and had faced emotional distress following his separation from Aarti. He said he was being portrayed as responsible for the breakdown of the marriage and had struggled with cyberbullying.

Ravi also alleged that financial matters became a point of contention during the relationship. According to him, the couple shared a joint bank account, and he was questioned over even minor withdrawals made during the marriage. After his separation, Ravi was often seen attending events and making public appearances with singer and spiritual healer Keneeshaa even before his divorce was final.

The actor further opened up about his association with rumoured partner Keneeshaa, saying the intense scrutiny surrounding his marital issues affected that relationship as well. Ravi claimed Keneeshaa eventually chose to step away from the relationship because of the constant public attention and online bullying linked to their appearances.

His comments have triggered mixed reactions online. While some men’s rights advocates expressed support and argued that Ravi had faced emotional abuse and public vilification, others criticised his remarks, particularly statements interpreted as linking feminism to financial control within marriages.

Some also questioned his decision to make allegations publicly without substantiation. The controversy drew responses from Aarti Ravi, while actor-politician Khushbu Sundar publicly voiced support for Aarti.

On the work front, Ravi was last seen in Parasakthi, directed by Sudha Kongara and co-starring Sivakarthikeyan. He also has projects including An Ordinary Man, Karathey Babu, Genie, and a film previously titled Bro Code in various stages of production.
