Shruti Haasan loses her cool at paps for calling her mumma: What are you saying?
Shruti Haasan reacted sharply after a paparazzo called her "mumma" during a public outing, in a moment that quickly went viral. The incident has sparked debate around personal boundaries, with many backing her stance.

A brief but sharp exchange between actor Shruti Haasan and the paparazzi has caught attention online, after the actor reacted strongly to being addressed as “mumma” during a public outing.
The incident took place as Shruti was leaving a restaurant and was surrounded by photographers. While she paused for pictures, one of the paparazzi called out to her using the term “mumma” – a remark that did not go down well with the actor.
Visibly displeased, she responded, “Kaun hai mumma? Aapki mumma hai? Kya bak rahe ho tum?” (Who is mumma? Is it your mother? What are you saying?). The moment was captured on video and quickly circulated on social media.

The clip triggered mixed reactions online. Several users backed Shruti, calling out the paparazzi for crossing personal boundaries. “They didn't call her, they asked for a picture with the elderly woman who was present, thinking she was her mumma. Kuch bhi (sic),” one user wrote, while another pointed out the lack of basic courtesy in such interactions.
Shruti is not the only actor to have reacted to uncomfortable paparazzi behaviour. In the past, Jaya Bachchan, Salman Khan, Ranbir Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan have also called out similar incidents.
On the work front, Shruti will next be seen in Aakasamlo Oka Tara alongside Dulquer Salmaan and Satvika Veeravalli. The film is produced by Sandeep Gunnam and Ramya Gunnam under Lightbox Media. She will also feature in Salaar: Part 2 with Prabhas.
