Trisha may join Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan in Nelson's film as female lead
Actor Trisha Krishnan is reportedly in talks to play a key role, possibly the female lead, in Nelson Dilipkumar's film starring Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan. The prospect has intensified attention on one of Tamil cinema's most closely watched projects.

Actor Trisha Krishnan is likely to take on an important role, and possibly the female lead, in director Nelson Dilipkumar's upcoming multi-starrer that will bring Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan together on screen again after several decades. While there is no official confirmation from the makers yet, reports said that discussions have been underway over the past few days and that Trisha has reportedly agreed to be part of the project.
The film has already drawn strong attention since its announcement video was released a few months ago. Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan appeared in retro-styled looks in the video, and the line 'Who is the hero?' quickly began trending across social media. The project will be directed by Nelson, with music by Anirudh Ravichander.
Here's the video:
If Trisha joins the cast, the film will add another big title to her long career in Tamil cinema, where she has remained a leading presence for more than 20 years. She has previously worked with Kamal Haasan in Manmadhan Ambu, Thoongaavanam and Thug Life, and she also shared screen space with Rajinikanth in Petta.
Reports have also said that her remuneration for the film is expected to be substantial, which would make it one of the biggest projects of her career. She will be seen next in Karuppu with Suriya, and the trailer for that film was released on Sunday (May 10).
The Nelson directorial, also being tentatively referred to as KHxRK, is expected to begin shooting soon. The director is currently finalising the script, locations, cast and technical crew. The film is already being described as one of the biggest Tamil projects mounted so far, and trade analysts have said that the combination of Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Nelson, Anirudh and, if confirmed, Trisha, could create box office history.
With the cast and crew details still taking shape, the film remains one of the most closely watched projects in Tamil cinema. Reports have also placed expectations on it to become the first Tamil film to cross Rs 1,000 crore worldwide, while fans continue to await an official update on Trisha's involvement.
